Access to the free zone
Hamriyah Free Zone is gated, and every contractor needs a gate pass arranged by the tenant company before arrival. The pass is issued against the technician names, the vehicle plate and our company documents, and the zone's own HSE rules apply on top of the tenant's. We send the names, plate and documents ahead of every visit, and for contracted sites a standing pass is usually arranged so that scheduled visits do not each need a new one.
Inside the zone, the tenant's site rules govern: inductions, permits to work for height or chemical work, and time windows around operations. For the port and cargo work the timing is set by vessel and container movements rather than by us, and the crew mobilises to the slot that is given.
What the build type produces
Storage and distribution buildings inside the zone are rodent territory: open loading doors, stock on pallets, packaging and in some cases food and feed. A programme here is baiting and monitoring on a numbered device plan with exclusion at the doors, cable penetrations and drains, and it is recorded visit by visit because zone tenants are audited by their own clients. Birds roost in the open steel of the larger sheds and are excluded with netting. Stored-product insects appear in food and feed storage and in some of the trading warehouses.
Cargo is the other side of Hamriyah. Container, stored-commodity and vessel fumigation with a fumigation certificate for the destination authority is a service we provide for exporters and forwarders through Hamriyah, Sharjah and the Dubai ports, carried out under our trade licence and ISO 45001 procedures for gas handling, exclusion and clearance. It is a separate service from the general pest work and is booked as one.
The cleaning work is industrial: structural cleaning of sheds and roof steel, floor degreasing in workshops and heavy-industry buildings, cold store cleaning around stock movements, and post-construction cleaning for new units in the zone's expansion phases. Labour accommodation attached to zone tenants needs its own scheduled pest and cleaning programme, planned around shifts.
Al Hamriyah town, beside the zone, produces residential work of the kind we see across Sharjah: cockroaches and ants in the summer, mosquitoes near the creek and the mangroves, and villa deep cleaning and water tank work.
Nearest office and mobilisation
Hamriyah is the furthest point in Sharjah from the head office on Estiqlal Street, so the practical pattern is scheduled, contracted work rather than call-outs. Response times for contracted sites are set in the service agreement. Fumigation is mobilised to the vessel or container slot, which is agreed with the forwarder or the shipping line rather than promised in advance.

Records for audited tenants
Zone tenants are inspected by the free zone authority and audited by their own customers, so the documentation is the deliverable: device plans, per-visit reports, trend data, treatment and cleaning logs, and for cargo the fumigation certificate recording the treatment, dosage, exposure period and dates. The rate basis is the same as anywhere in the UAE; the gate pass adds administration, not cost.
