Why pests spread between JVC buildings
JVC is laid out as a circle of numbered districts, most of it low and mid-rise apartment blocks, with townhouses and villas in the streets between them. In the apartment blocks, units share bin rooms, basements and service shafts, so cockroaches travel between flats along the pipes. Treating one apartment while the one next door is left untreated is a common reason a problem returns within weeks.
In ServiceMarket's Dubai call data, reported by Gulf News in 2018, Jumeirah Village was one of the three areas that produced the most pest control calls, alongside JLT and Al Barsha. Many JVC homes are rented, so a lot of treatments here are booked at move-in, when every cupboard is empty and the technician can reach behind the fridge and under the sink.

I am moving into a JVC apartment. When should I book?
Before the furniture arrives if you can. An empty apartment lets the technician treat inside every cabinet and behind the appliances, which is where cockroaches hide. If you have already moved in, clear the kitchen cupboards before the visit.
What if the cockroaches come back after the treatment?
If the pests we treated come back within 6 months, we return and re-treat at no extra charge. That is the warranty in writing. It covers the pests treated; it is not a promise that a building with untreated neighbours stays pest free.
Do you need a gate pass or building permit in JVC?
