Best Deep Cleaning Service in UAE: How to Choose

By MUMTAZ Editorial Team·

What a deep clean is, and is not

A deep clean is the job that reaches what a regular clean does not: behind and under appliances, inside kitchen cabinets, bathroom grout and silicone, AC vents and grilles, skirting, window tracks, light fittings, the tops of wardrobes. It is booked at a tenancy change, after a renovation, before a family occasion, or after a summer away. It is not a weekly maid visit run for longer, and a company that describes it that way has not done many.

This is MUMTAZ's own checklist for choosing a deep cleaning service in the UAE. We offer the service, so read it as our standard rather than as a neutral review, and hold us to it.

1. Ask for the checklist

A deep cleaning company should be able to hand you the room-by-room list of what is included before you book. If the list does not mention inside the oven, inside the fridge, the AC grilles, the grout, the window tracks and the skirting, ask why. Ours is on the villa deep cleaning page.

2. Who is doing the work?

Employed cleaners on the company's own visa and insurance, trained on the method, or agency staff for the day. Ask. Everyone we send is employed by us.

3. Equipment and products

Steam for grout and upholstery, HEPA vacuums, degreasers rated for kitchen use, and products that are safe for the surfaces in the property. Ask what is used on marble, on timber, on stainless steel; the wrong product on the wrong surface is a permanent mark.

4. Villa, apartment, occupied or empty

An occupied villa is cleaned room by room so the household keeps using the rest of the house; an empty apartment at handover is faster and cleaned to a handover standard with a report for the landlord. Tell the company which you have, and ask how the visit is planned for it.

5. Add-ons that are separate jobs

Sofa, carpet and curtain cleaning, water tank cleaning, AC duct and coil cleaning, and mould remediation are separate scopes. A deep clean that promises to include all of them in one visit at one price is usually doing none of them properly. Ask which are included and which are quoted separately.

6. Pricing you can read

Published packages, where a company offers them, should state the property size, what is included and what is extra, with VAT shown. Anything not on the list should be quoted, not guessed. Card and bank transfer should both be accepted.

7. The report

At a tenancy handover, the report is the point. Ask whether you get one, and what it lists.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a villa deep clean take?+

It depends on the size, whether the villa is occupied or empty, and what is included. A company should give you a realistic duration after seeing the checklist you have agreed.

Is AC duct cleaning part of a deep clean?+

No. Grilles and vents are wiped in a deep clean; duct and coil cleaning is a separate job with its own equipment.

Can a deep clean be done with the family at home?+

Yes, room by room. An empty property is faster, but occupied is normal.
